In celebration of my and my twin sis's B-day this week (it's a big one), I'm posting my fave pic of her taken when we were 14 in 1984.This was her Cyndi Lauper "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" look.
We had fun heaping on the neon plastic beads, fingerless gloves and bangles. And those shades - aren't they so 80s?
This is me, also when we were 14, taken by Kendra after I had just piled on heaps of makeup.I think I was trying to look like someone in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

svelteSTUFF - oh yeah!! I STILL can watch The Breakfast Club over and over again! And even St. Elomo's Fire! I remember dancing to "Fame" with legwarmers on and trying to do a split jump. Pink and grey; neon Wake Me Up Before You Go Go; all sorts of pop tunes - just the greatest decade. I think we tend to be sentimental about the decade we came of age in, what do you think?
