Snow has finally arrived in the megacity, a light dusting that is surely a portent of the deep snowdrifts to come ....I've been practically living in my latest thrift coat, a 1970s suede and fur collar belted beauty. $40 at, you guessed it, Stretch Thrift.
It's quilted and super warm, and I flip up the fur collar to keep me warm. I still have conflicted feelings about second-hand fur, but I can't deny it's the warmest thing in this cold climate ....
This is my Ali MacGraw look, helped in part by the toque.
Thanks to reader and friend Cathy for snapping a pic on the ever-charming Dufferin bus!!
Love the look! Probably makes other passengers wonder, what's a movie star doing on this bus?
ReplyDeleteYou look "MARVELOUS" !

Have to say I'm disappointed you'd go and wear fur like that, second-hand or not.
ReplyDeleteThanks River-Rose and Cathy P, I love this coat and it's so warm.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, I can't say I'm sorry that you're disappointed, though I respect any opinion you may have; for that reason I would hope that you would reserve any negative judgment against the choices I make (if that is in fact what's happened here). In the spirit of constructive criticism I'd welcome a healthy debate on the subject. I do feel conflicted about wearing second-hand fur - perhaps that helps me to see both sides of the equation.
