Silly poses, thrifted retro belt

Let's just say I don't know how models - or fellow fashiony bloggers - do it.

I'm trying to model my latest find here and I'm having problems looking natural.

Oops here I'm looking too natural!

Right then! Let's focus on the find at hand: a retro 1960s? chain belt with ball bobble, thrifted for $3.99 this weekend!

  1. Hi Kelly, (I m a Kelly too) I follow your excellent blog..but this is first time I m commenting. I too am a thrift fanatic..in fact I manage a living at it! Just spent over $200 at V V today..can you imagine how much stuff that is?? I ll try to post some pics to my blog..but I have to admit..I d rather read yours than write my own. Thanks for opening my eyes to other great places in the city to "hunt and gather"! Keep up the good work!

  2. Kelly, so great to meet another Kelly, and to know you've been reading, and to know you're a thrifter too - will def check out your blog in anticipation of checking out all your finds! Where is your shop exactly? I Googled you but could only find a reference on a blog, so please confirm location, via comment or email if you'd prefer! Thanks for commenting - still have to show the Christian Dior belt I bagged for $3.99!

  3. Hi Kelly,
Sorry I thought there was a link to my shop on the Blog that I havent updated in umm...1 year! Its at the St Lawrence Market..north side...Farmers market side. In the winter I m usually only there on sat and sundays..thurs friday lunch if the weather is decent. You may have already been there as we have been open for 14 years! Just not open alot! We are somewhere btwn a thrift store, and an antique shop. Hopefully better organized and better smelling than a thrift, but not as pricey or snobby as antiques. I have a little page on Facebook if you want to see more.."Antiques at the st Lawrence". There are some decent pics there too. Ok..must sleep..am just checking out prices of the Rock and Republic Jeans I thrifted today for 10bucks! I hear they retail for over 250!
    good nite and good hunting!
